How to Find the Immigration Counter at Ho Chi Minh City Arrival Airport?
Arriving in Vietnam can be an exciting experience, and understanding the steps for obtaining your visa upon arrival can make your entry smooth and stress-free. If you’re flying into Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, here’s a quick guide on how to find the Immigration Counter for your Vietnam visa on arrival.
Step-by-Step Guide to Locating the Immigration Counter
- Head to the Immigration Hall
After landing and disembarking at Tan Son Nhat Airport, follow signs towards the Immigration Hall. The Immigration Counter, also known as the “Landing Visa” counter, is located at the far left end of the hall. Look for the “Landing Visa” sign. - Prepare Your Documents
To make the process smoother, have all required documents ready:- Your valid passport
- Visa approval letter
- One passport-sized photo
- Completed entry and exit form (you can download and fill it in advance)
- Stamping fee in cash (varies by visa type)
- Submit Documents and Wait
Hand all your documents to the officer at the Landing Visa counter. Take a seat in the waiting area nearby, as it may take a few minutes before your name is called. Immigration officers will call out names, or display passports for easy recognition. - Complete the Process and Check for Errors
Once your name is called, return to the counter, pay the stamping fee, and collect your passport with the visa stamped inside. Take a moment to double-check all details on your visa to ensure accuracy. - Proceed to Immigration Control
After receiving your passport, proceed to the main Immigration Control area to complete the formal entry process. From there, head to the baggage claim area on the lower level and continue with customs.
Immigration Counters at Other Airports
- Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport: The Immigration Counter is located to the left of the escalator going down to the immigration hall. Submit your documents here and wait for your name to be called.
- Da Nang International Airport: The Immigration Counter is in the immigration hall. The visa on arrival process here is usually efficient, taking around 15 minutes.
